Pain when lying on the ground.

Hello,

when I try to lie on my back on the floor, after a minute or two my lower back, hips and pelvis all seem to seize up. They all just seem to freeze, and it's really painful getting up.

Any help is appreciated.

I think that you should start daily exercises.There are certain stretching and strengthening exercises which helps to control this type of pain.Also if you feel that the pain is sever then I think you should consult a doctor.

Hello Hunter-Gatherer!

Your ancestors, who lay on the gound regularly and Glidewalked everywhere, had a much longer psoas (pronounced "so' as") muscle than you do.  You can lengthen your psoas muscle through learning to glidewalk properly (remember to keep your rib anchor engaged, and then let your back heel stay on the ground til the last minute).  You can accelerate that process by by doing lunges (again, engage your rib anchor so that your back doesn't sway).  

In the meantime, place as many pillows as necessary under your knees while lying on your back.  THis will take the strain off your psoas.    Over time, as you Glidewalk and lunge, you will need fewer and fewer pillows, until you can lay on your back and fall asleep under the stars, dreaming of the great mammoth hunt.

I thought you need to do daily exercise.  it good for your health. there are various type of exercises which help to control your pain. so do exercises
